Naturist Beaches in Oz?
G'day. I'm looking for info about naturist beaches and naturism in general in Oz? Are there any at all? Would you face being locked up / visa cancelled / deported for going for a swim without your speedos?

Hi Nuddie,
This may be teaching you to suck eggs etc, but did you consider using a search engine?
Use www.google.com and you get quite a few good sites. may want to try
http://www.aus-nude.org.au/
http://freebeach.com.au/
http://www.naturist.net.au/
As there are naturist beaches, seems unlikely you would get deported etc.
By the way found these sites using "naturist beaches australia" on google.
Good luck with your visa

I'm sure there are.
However, Australia is reknown around the world for it's lethal wildlife both on land
and in the sea.
You'd better be on your guard specially if you're a 'bloke. It's not a coincidence
that certain parts of the male anatomy are called 'tackle' for nothing )

Lots and Lots of news reports here how Aussies have been reported as the fattest nation in the world!! With 60% of Aussie men and 48% of women overweight I seriously hope everyone keeps their clothes on!!! Yuk I feel sick just thinking about it. Naked whale people rubbing uv 60 on their privates, oh boy i'm outta here.

Got any references Dotty? When I've been in Aus a-roamin' I haven't noticed signs of general fattiness. Compared (say) to USA, where the human blubber is unavoidable, Aus seemed a trim old place to me.

Hi Dotty
Also keen on references as loads of programmes on Discovery Health seems to come from Aus. I know I'm going to have to lose a few stone to insure Sally doesn't go beyond window shopping at the beach. :scared:

Re: Naturist Beaches in Oz?
Thankfully, I have little idea who is responsible for the measuring of blubber butts in Australia. However I do know that in the last 2 weeks alone the Courier Mail, Herald, Sunshine Coast Daily, Good morning Australia and a Current Affair have all had big reports on the state of our health. One great one informed us that 25% of Kids are obese and most do TV/Playstation for 5 hours a day!! Also that the majority of Aussie kids could not name more than 3 vegetables!!! Another one reported that in 1995 we had a 45% men 29% women overweight which is now 60/48. Diabetes is supposed to be at record levels too. Personally from the amount of total junk most of our friends eat I am not surprised, and remember most kids are taught to avoid the sun in summer so it is much preferable to stay inside and do Gameboy. I would have thought that as most aussies have to drive to get anywhere that would contribute too. The bronze aussie image is a load of bull, most people avoid the sun and do very little exercise, and scoff lots of cheap takeout. Sorry but its true, although I would seriously doubt that we would be worse than the USA. (My English lfriend who arrived last September has put on 2 stone since being here). She reckons its just too hot to be bothered. Anyone for aerobics? Hup two three four....
