hi everyone!

just to let you all know, i just found a website that is bringing pampers to australia! i have searched high and low since i moved here a few months ago so i am very relieved to hear they are coming. i heard that some supermarkets were stocking them in vic but i am in sydney so that was no help for me.

anyway don't know if i'm allowed to post the link (i just joined) but it's pretty easy to find now that they've started accepting orders. they have an offer with a 20% discount so i've already ordered 4 cartons! lol! :thumbsup:

cheapest we have found are the Aldi ones. Half the price of the Huggies, which we used to swear by, but we've since found that they keep more in. Bargain if you have one anywhere near you

I used Huggies for ages - my first preference really, then we moved to Aldi. No issues.

And my kids get on with them too!

Hi there,
I can recommend some sites in the UK that sell cloth nappies, but I don't know if they will send to Oz. It's worth, firstly, researching if you want a 2 part system whereby they wear a nappy AND a plastic or fleece wrap or an all in one. Each have their -ve and +ve points. Try looking at thenappylady site.
For advise, there is a site called Babycentre which has a cloth nappy forum and the girls on there are brilliant!
I think, it will save you money in the long term and may help to get the kids potty-trained sooner as they can 'feel' that they are wet rather than disposibles whipping the pee deep inside the nappy so they feel dry all the time.
It does take some getting used to though!

Hi,
We currently have a one year old and live in Tassie so choice of nappies is limited, We personally use Babybeehinds, YOu get a nappy and two liners with each one, (A small and a larger size liner) You can get bambo or hemp nappies and covers you can get a plastic type or a wool cover. The service from them is awesome and if you have a problem they are superb to deal with.
We had one which had a problem with the velcro fastener, Which emailed them they asked for a photo of it then sent a new one to us not asking for the old one back.
You can get mail order or they have stockist around Australia. You can even get them in the UK the distributor in the UK is near Blackpool .

LOL, I was just going to post that!

Had a look on there and it's a real shame they're so damned expensive. In the UK they were a similar price to Huggies but they look to be about double the price now (and I guess that's because they're importing small-ish quantities).

I'm due to have my baby any day now (4 days overdue at the moment... don't mess with me :p ) and have got a pack of Huggies newborn to try and also the Aldi Mamia ones as I've heard they're meant to be good.

Tempted to toilet-train this new one earlier than my last one though, just because the nappies here aren't fantastic

They are ALL out of stock!! I'm raging!! I miss Pampers so much. They are much more expensive than the UK, but i don't care, i'd still buy them - they are the perfect fit for my rather big boned boy! :P

:rofl: That's because (according to the front page at least) they're not shipping any out until 10 July ;) You can place a preorder and get a discount I think (details on the front page of the website IIRC)

and if anyone wants to buy my beautifully untouched cloth nappies (great intentions which never transpired) just let me know.
I bought 40 of the things, washed some in preparation, the rest are still in plastic.

Still my daughter's doll wears one of them!

I used to be able to get Pampers from BigW $33 for box of 58, they only stocked 1 size but luckily that was perfect for my little boy, they then disappeared from the shelves and was told no more would come :(....then a couple of weeks ago there were 3 boxes on the shelf, so grabbed all 3 and ran (after paying of course!) :thumbsup: nothing on the market here compares.
