I guess we are looking for a better work/life balance and the sun always helps things 😉

I’m an electrician that has domestic, commercial and industrial experience. What do you mean when you say ‘sparks are a dime a dozen’? Are you saying it’s hard for Electrician’s to find work?
Yes, I think full time work may be hard to find. The mining boom busting meant a lot of trades who were working away are now back in Perth.

What makes you say it would be hard to find full time work? Are you and electrician yourself?

No I'm not. However I have lived in WA for 13 years and have a fair idea of the employment situation here. I also have 2 very good friends married to electricians as well as a former neighbour who I'm still friendly with who's an electrician.

If you are a licenced, qualified electrician with real industrial experience (controls, automation, HV power etc - not domestic, roof ratting, commercial) things are looking very rosy in WA. New mining projects are currently ramping up and overall production is increasing. Lithium and uranium starting to come on stream. Gold is going gangbusters in the Kalgoorlie area. LNG exports are at record levels and increasing - Gorgon is being expended.

Good luck.
