Moving to Sydney
Hello
Me & my family are looking to move to Sydney / Melbourne next year through my work. We have a 1 year old daughter & both work. Our household income will be around $165000 - $185000.Just a few questions if anyone can help.
1) Cost of child care ?
2) Average maternity leave , if we want another ? ( Big If )
3) Melbourne or Sydney ? Which areas to live in is good for schools and good travel links as in no longer then 30 minute commute each way from CBD.
Thank you.

Re: Moving to Sydney
I don't have much idea on the child things, although I understand most employers would expect a year of service before extending maternity benefits and I don't believe that benefits are typically as generous as in UK / Europe.
Regarding the where to live, why 30 minutes? Most people have a commute into a CBD longer than that. In Sydney you would be restricting yourself to a unit or a very expensive house that probably the combined salary level could not sustain. I would reconsider that criteria to be honest.
