Question moving to Oz from the U.S ?

I am from England, currently living/working in the U.S.
I am married to a U.S Citizen and have 2 kids (both U.S C)

Before I was married, I went on the 12 month work visa to Oz and
simply loved it there. In fact I would much rather live there...But
what can I do to emegrate there??? anybody have any ideas.

My father was offered the 10 pound ticket to Oz back in the 1960's
(he is a mastercraftsman) but he never took it up????? WHY?

Should we both try and get work visa's etc??? any help would be appreciated!

Well I can't really help you on the legalities, but anyway. If both you and your hubby want to move, contact the Australian Embassy closest to you and ask the q's how to go about it. I went through the same process, but going in the opposite direction - OZ to USA. It was alll handles by lawyers and the company that sponsored us. So not sure what all the proceedings are.
The difference between moving to OZ and moving to the US is that you have to have a company sponsor you to move to the US, where as I don't think you have to have one to move to OZ. I think you can go there without a sponsor and find a job when you get there.
Good luck in what ever you decide to do. Sorry I can not be of more help
As for the LB10 ticket to OZ, thousands took it up, guess your dad had reasons why he didn't do it, only he can answer that one!!

If you can, try to both get work visas, then when you get there if one of you don't want to work, then no big deal. But if it is easier for just one of you to get the work visa and the other dependents visa, try it that way too and work it out when you get there. It may take time, so be prepared.
