Question moving to Noosa

Hi all, haven't been on the discussion forum for quite a while. Have been living in Sydney now for three years and have enjoyed it but now looking for a change and a more relaxed lifestyle! Considering moving to Noosa in about April this year and would be grateful to hear from anyone living there or near to Noosa about what they think of the place/people etc. Have a 7 year old son who currently goes to a very small school (170 students) and worrying about finding a good school for him up there? Have looked on the internet but they all seem really big (600+ students) - can anyone help with this?
Can't wait to hear from you.

We went to Noosa a few weeks back and fell in love with the place. At one point we decided to move there and after much thought realised there was too much to give up in Perth (friends, fire brigade, job for life etc...)

You will need to visit, property is considered expensve, but in my opinion is the same as Perth and probably Sydney.

Tewantin seems better value, houses on half acre blocks with all the fruit for about $700 grand. Theres a primary school there too.

There's also the hinterland, places like Eumundi look OK.

You need to go and have a look around ideally in school term time so you can visit a few.

We live half an hour from Noosa and it's like paradise!!!!
We go there as often as we can for fishing, sunbathing and mucking around!!!!
Hubby works in Noosaville and all is good, may move that way from Kawana one day!!

Cheers.

Hi

we've been living in noosa for the past 6 months & love it especially the beaches & the river

Our 8 year old goes to tewantin state school & he's come on immensley during the time he's been there, the school is quite big but the class sizes are fairly small

Hi there,

Never lived there, but stayed there for about a week when we were travelling around Aus a few years ago. Loved it. Can't say what it would be like to live there, but we used to go for a run from the beach around the head along the cliff edge, and it remains one of the most spectacular running trails i have ever run on.

Smile Re: moving to Noosa

a big thanks to you all for your replies. Will certainly look at Tewantin School.
Hoping to come up for a few days this month to look at other schools too
and just remind ourselves of what surrounding areas are like.
