We just did ours through the local Galway City Garda Station - as a previous poster said - call in with letter with relevant addresses and telling them what its for with a form of id - got back clearance certs (not character certs) in about a week.

Just to confirm:
Is it Garda Clearance Cert, or Garda Characater Cert ?
Is it the last 5 years or 10 years?
