Default Moving household

Could some one please advice the following with regard to taking household good to OZ

1. Is there any time frame with in which we have to bring our HO goods in to
OZ.
2. I know we can bring only used goods, But is there any limitation on what
what you can bring. ( value wise )
3. Can we do partial shipment of household in two lots.

thanks

1.. Not sure
2.. You can bring anything as long as you have owned it for 12 months prior. You can bring alcohol and your car, bike etc but you pay additional taxes/duty on those items.
3.. Our house hold is coming over on 2 containers. We were just over a 20 foot container so the important stuff is in the main container with our spare room furniture as an overspil to come at a later date.

Default Re: Moving household

Hi,

We wont be bringing any furnitures but my estimate is 500 to 750Kgs of personal stuff. Mostly books, clothes, linen, electrical items and kitchen stuff. I will be buying some new stuff as well? Do I have to pay more for new things?

Also how much do we pay for clearance and duty?

Many thanks

Mari
