Moving costs from UK to Sydney
Hiya I am a newbie.. just starting my visa 176 app.
Anyone got a rough cost for a removal cost of half a houshold? 3 bedroom.
2 adults/2 toddlers.
Looking at if its worth it to sell everything here and then buy new out in Sydney.
I have asked for a couple of quotes to get an idea.

Estimate £3,200 - £3,600 based on 3/4 filling a dedicated 20 foot container.

I shipped half a house (all the usual things that 2 adults and 2 kids have, but not sofas or very large furniture) to Sydney in 2006 for about £1600. The other half is still in storage over there at £20 per week.
Curtiss Removals in Portsmouth. Cheapest at the time.
