Where abouts in Madchester are you? I'm from Alkrington, near Middleton, cant say I follow footie though. We've been in Bris since last August, we still like it, we're renting in Corinda, only a small place $185 a fortnight, so close to the line you can feel the ground shake!! But it means we're not using our house building funds.

The next place down the line from here is Oxley, there are some reasonably priced houses there and despite what some might say its not a bad place, I'm working with a British guy who rents there and he talks quite well of the place. Its around the 25 min mark to the CBD on the train.
