The one down side in the UK is lack of private rental houses at a reasonable rent, this would slow up the market and give a lot more freedom of movement to the workforce?

Mortgage lending surges as owners dip into equity

CML figures showed that the number of first-time buyers fell from 39,100 a year ago to 32,980 last month. Martin Essex, a senior economist at Capital Economics, said: "With a loss of momentum from the bottom of the ladder, it is only a matter of time before the significant slowdown we expect kicks in."
Figures from the Inland Revenue show the number of property transactions completed in March fell to a two-year low of 123,000.

House seller who raised price 'taken hostage'

A businessman desperate to buy a £600,000 farmhouse took the vendor hostage and terrorised him for two hours after he suddenly raised the price by a further £200,000, a court was told yesterday.

Lester Stacey, 39, kept 50-year-old Adam Adamou imprisoned, punched and abused him, and at one point threatened to gouge his eyes out with a pen, it was alleged.

When Mr Adamou, who suffers from angina and has had heart bypass operations, lay on the settee and asked Stacey to call an ambulance he refused. And when the farm owner tried to call the police Stacey ripped the phone off the wall, the jury heard.

hard to know sometimes who to put on the ignore list....quite a few names buzzing around. Do you suggest anyone in particular, or just say the hell with it and ignore all two dozen of you?
