hello. my first post on this forum!

we are hopefully emigrating to australia in the next 12 months. I want to do my motorbike test but i do not want to take it in the UK if i will have to retake in australia once we get over there.

are UK motorbike licenses valid over there?

My other half just had to sit the theory test for both car and then motorbike to get full licences

If you are moving to SA the yes it is valid, you have to do a thoery test within 3 months, its 40 multi choice questoions when you pass it they give you a full SA licence for both car and bike.

Never had to do a theory as we didnt have them here when I passed my test (showing my age now! )

test is easy enough... plus you can practice online...

do a search on gogle for RTA NSW. RTA is the govt agency that deals with all such issues.....

thanks for your replies. If it means Id have to redo the practical once I got in Oz I think I might do the test over there.
