Love these things. They all have such different slants/angles that there will always be one that plugs the city you happen to be living in.

This particular one (Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize) gave it to New York.
Brissy is included as a special mention due to the strong vision of the city councils Urban Renewal agency.

The notable mention is for the success of their Violence Prevention through Urban Upgrading program which addresses the most basic priority of urban policy -- personal safety.

Trust me, from someone who has actually been there, you would not want to live in Khayelitsha (I dunno, maybe you would). Cape Town, just down the road, is much more 'liveable'.
