And to prove that the Nanny State is alive and well even in right-wing Alberta, Calgary's Medical Examiner is advising us to now cover up at dusk and dawn or not go out at all at that time but use DEET if we do go outside, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah.

Chances of being bitten by this rare type is therefore miniscule
If bitten chances of contracting the disease are small
If contracted, the disease seriously effects only 1 in 100 people and kills only 1 in 1000 people.
So because of this we should all change our life-style? Sod it, I refuse to live my life like that.
