More POMS in Perth....

Just a quickie to say we got our visas!!! I can't stop saying OMG OMG it really is scary and exciting. Fingers crossed, we're hoping to leave UK in Sept before the kids go back to school, my son 11 would be starting High School here so hopefully we can start a new school in Perth instead. My daughter is just 8 so hopefully they'll be in the same school too to start off.
We [me and my chap] worked in Melbourne and travelled Oz about 13 years ago, never really got the 'bug' out our system. We went to Oz Xmas before last for a long holdiay with the kids and visited Perth, saw my pal in Noranda, [we stayed pen pals over the years] had a few days in Bunbury too to see the dolphins, flew to Brisbane to see an old school pal and hired a campervan to travel around and drove down to Sydney it was fantastic. Flew to Melbourne to stay with another friend who I worked with and had a great time there also. It's very hard to 'pick' where your going to actually live as for us we loved it all!!! By doing our own process of elimination we decided on Perth for us.
Thanks to all of you guys that post your views, with warts 'n' all, it really helps.

Outback folk often eat sand and tumbleweed if the supply of water is low.

Hi, Congratulations. We're also headed to Perth, hopefully before the end of summer. Just waiting on the last bit of the visa process. Must feel great to finally have your visas.
Enjoy your celebrations
