You can get mint sauce in Brisbane but not as you know it, it is a strange gel like substance not the usual mint and vinegar... :scared: .

What we need to do is to find some garden mint growing in someones garden and share around the expats and then we can make our own with vinegar and it would taste like mint should... .

Anyone got recipes for making mint sauce from raw ingredients or is it really just a case of chopping it up and adding vinegar?

I am sorry to sound awful but:

mint sauce is awful, and should be illegal.

However, having said that, many of my rellies in Oz have allways had mint sauce with their lamb, so it is definatley there. I just can't tell you where. sorry this is really unhelpful isn't it.
