I guess what I wonder is, doesn't nature eventually *genetically modify* itself over generations only by scientifically genetically mnodifying food we are doing it quicker? The only problem I would have is including something in the food genetically which may harm such as drugs etc. So I guess where will it end:confused: Then again, food & drug control is so tough I'd be surprised if any company got past those stringent controls.

Ahhhh what do I know:blink:

But there is no reason to add modify tomatoes with fish. n years to come babies could be born with gills!

The problem was that the US companies like Monsanto etc had so heavily invested in GM that the trials they conducted and submitted to the food & drug people no where near matched the normal trials that should have been conducted. Normally I think it is ten years but they submitted after two and it was all approved.

A case of the yanks looking after their own vested interests regardless of the consequences.

No wonder my lips are sticking together!

The only thing I miss in OZ now is Vaseline Lip Pots - you know the little round ones that you can carry in your makeup bag, handbag etc.
