If the original seed was genetically modified then the resulting product is completely modified so how can it be removed during refining. You would not have anything to process.
Farmers are only allowed to sow a max of 10% of home produced seed (2nd generation) the rest must be 1st generation purchased from the seed producers who are mainly companies like Monsanto etc who have heavily invested in GM seeds. That was why the USA government approved GM seed with out full trials such as would be done by Min of Agi seed and reasearch development department in the UK.
I strongly oppose GM food - I want to have the choice as to what I eat.

Sorry but this doesn't make sense.

I don't propose to know much about GM foods other than I can't find anything to scientifically suggest it's bad for you. There seem to be people in two camps though.
I guess what I wonder is, doesn't nature eventually *genetically modify* itself over generations only by scientifically genetically mnodifying food we are doing it quicker? The only problem I would have is including something in the food genetically which may harm such as drugs etc. So I guess where will it end
Then again, food & drug control is so tough I'd be surprised if any company got past those stringent controls.Ahhhh what do I know

I've just thought of a cunning plan.
Okay some of you young whippersnappers probably don't remember the end of the last century when the High Church of Tesco used to colour code their milk differently to everyone else. But, such a time did exist, and the same problem still persists in Aus. And it needs fixing.
So, here's the plan. We come up with the colour coding standard that we want (e.g. dark blue = skimmed, green = semi-skimmed) and then every time we go to the supermarket we change all the tops around to meet the standard. It won't be long until they cotton on.

The only Ardennes Pate that you will find in Australia is in the hamper baskets, normally sold for delivery in the UK.
