Ignore and 'it' will hopefully go away.

It sounds like you have a positive attitude to it all, so you are half way there to making it work. Hope it all turns out good for you.
When are you hoping to leave?

Hope it comes through soon.

The other thing people need to think about if they keep their Uk home is the fact that prices are still rising in some parts of Aus, yet they may be falling in the UK!

The forecast for Brisbane is still a 7-10% rise this year ( on the news this morning) and the Sunshine Coast is 10-15%. If you keep your Uk home and it just stays still or even worse drops, you could be losing even more money, especiallly with taxes etc.

We have seen the prices continue to rise around here and they have way surpassed what small rise our Uk house may have had.

If he bothers you that much just ignore him

personally i've wanted to live somewhere else, other than the UK since school,

i'm just selling up and using the equity to have an adventure,
I get the impression that 'its the same shit, just a shinier bucket'

the only thing I believe that Oz has for me is a relativley better way of life for the same wages, I'd love to afford to be able to pub it / club it more, I just can't here
