Unless you have money to burn, DO IT YOURSELF! If you need any help just post threads on the immigration forum and you'll be fine. We've done it ourselves and it's been incredibly simple so far (touch wood) - they're crying out for us poms!

We used http://www.australia-migration.com/ and they were very very good.

We used them because we were very close to losing 5 points that we needed due to age, and if we had not used them are first ACS lodgment would of failed.

Worth every penny!!!

We are also using ian harrop and again he comes highly recommended, competitive rates, very quick off the mark.

We are working with sue as we live so far away, she deals with the postal side of things. They are the ones pushing us to get the paperwork together -not us having to mither them.

its worth a phone call at least to see what you think eh??

Ian Harrop: 01993 824 111 someone has already posted the website.

He has been in the business a long time and has been registered with mara for years. Dont forget to check out if they are registered with mara whoever you pick by the way.

No disrespect to the visa bureau, but they gave me the wrong profession to apply under and their fees were the highest we came across. We had contracts in hand and was double and triple checking them only to find out that we would have failed our application as they werent giving me correct advice. I had all the info in writing off them too, so it was even worse.

In hindsight feel like they would have ripped us off and we would have had our app refused.

Thankfully, George Lombard pointed quite a few things out and put us onto Ian Harrop. It was the best thing he could have done. Cheers George.

If you feel you absolutely need an agent then i'm sure they're all very good. We did it ourselves and found it extremely straightforward. You just need to be methodical and use the resources available. As long as you treat it seriously and don't put anything off you will save yourselves a lot of cash.
Anyway good luck with the whole thing - we've been in sydney now for 3 months - basking in the sun!!

Hi there

I used ASA, www.australia-migration.com, and thought they were excellent. They provide a real 24/7 service which is excellent value for money.

They are based in Perth but have a UK office. Their CEO often comes over to the UK and to Bristol for consultations.
