Migration agency recommendations please

Hello there,

What a lovely grey, damp morning it is! We are going to apply for the skilled migration visa - hooray!!!!!! :) So we are starting to put together our skills test but we are struggling and think we need help. Any recommendations for migration expects please.

We are in Bristol - do you visit them or send stuff to them and just talk over the phone?

Thanks guys, this website is so helpful!

Skills assessment went in beginning of May 05.
Main app submitted 27th June 05.
Visas granted 30th Dec 05.

The length of the process is down to the individuals ability to get organised and provide the info when requested. If you are, you should have no long waits (bar waiting for DIMIA of course).... :)

Julia is as quick as you want her to be - always been very efficient for us. Answers emails and calls in the middle of the night, 1st time, every time!

We did a 136 skilled on our own, skills assesment the lot (she's a nurse). Wasn't hard if you did it methodically. From start to finish - start being initially pulling documents together, transcrpits obtained etc etc took about 5 months which we didn't think was bad. It's not hard to do it yourself if you work out what you need - lots of good info on the DIMIA site and on here. Not sure how it applies for other 'trades' but for the nursing one the agent would have literally earned money for nothing. It was easy to do on our own.

Hi Guys,

I can 100% recommend Ian Harrop Associates www.ianharrop.co.uk

They got me and my wife as well as my sister on 457 visas and in a time frame of six weeks, also, I know several Brits over here that they have got visas for. We saw an agent called Zeno Bolzicco who was the agent for the Wimbledon office and he was fantastic. Think Zeno has moved to Perth (oz) now but am sure anyone from the company would be just as good.

Have to agree, we also used Ian Harrop for our skilled 139 visa and he was absolutely brilliant.
He deals a lot with skilled people and made it really clear all the docs required
Worth every penny!!!

Hi

We too are in Bristol, and are just preparing paperwork for TRA. We are using Julia Skoglund of Migrate Australia. She has been wonderful so far, answering all our stupid questions etc. We would highly recommend using her.

What visa are you applying for?

We used Acacia Immigration and I couldn't fault them. Our visa was a bit difficult but they put us on the right path, told us to front load and even when we got an difficult case officer they dealt with it brilliantly.
