Dont have exact numbers at my fingertips - but here in QLD a midwife working a full time 38 hours week can expect to earn around $70-$80K + super. (I'm sure the situation in VIC is very similar). Salaries vary depending on whether you're working private or public and what shift you end up doing.
With 3 years UK experience you should have no problem finding a job and may be able to find yourself promoted quickly from "Level1" positions up the ladder.
For mroe specific quantified data, as others have said - hit up google!
