Default The Merits of Australian Beer

They say there are only two states to be in , Pissed and Tasmania.

The presidents of Boags (Tasmania), Tooheys (New South Wales),
XXXX(Queensland), Carlton (Victoria) .... were at an international
beer conference. They decide to all go to
lunch together and the waitress asks what they want to drink.

The president of Tooheys says without hesitation "I'll have a Tooheys

New."

The president of XXXX smiles and says "I'll have a XXXX, brewed from
pure mountain water!"

The Carlton president proudly says "I'll have a Carlton, the King of
Beers!"

The bloke from Boags glances at his lunch mates and says, "I'll have
a Pepsi."

The others look at him like he has sprouted a new head.

He just shrugs and says, "If you blokes aren't drinking beer, then
neither will I."

lol - element of truth in there - Boags is a *very* nice drop. Tooheys Extra Dry is pretty damned good too though.

Yep Dan Murphys do a big range of most European beers including Leffe. The one I go to is at Middle Park although a new one has opened at the GABBA but I have not been so dont know what is stocked.

Nice drink for a treat but hold on to your wallet when you see the price!

Just found a link for the QLD stores so follow below

Liquor Savers, Gympie Road at Lutwyche stock an extensive range of European beers. They have a number of very nice Belgian beers, I have Leffe, Duval, Westmalle and a Kriek sitting in the fridge all purchased from there

For sure. They stock my favourite Belgian beer, it's 8.5%, only problem is it's $14 a bottle!. It must be the export version because in Belgium the same beer is 12%! Try and have a session on that.
