Melbourne Womens Drinking Club
What has happened to the Melbourne Womens Drinking Club? I missed the October meet up as was not in Melbourne. Don't know if you have had any others but I would definitely like to go to one very soon.
Please please if anyone is up for it, just suggest a time and place to meet. I only need to arrange a babysitter, as husband gone back to UK for 3 months! and kids are already driving me mad, and the school hols have not started yet!
I await hearing replies and suggestions otherwise I might have to go out alone and be sad and miserable.
Lol

Hi ya!!
I would be up for one as well, however I am not likely to be able to make one this side of Christmas.
I would have to come down from Bendigo and am fast running out of weekends to come to Melbourne.
I think we are having a meet in January, I might have to wait and come down to that one...
Will definatly come down to a Girls meet next year though...

YES!!! Sounds cool. Time for another night of brazen, drunken hedonism.
I'm up for it, so is Scottish - we were talking about it only this week.
Only prob is - Friday nights are best for me, and the only one I have free before the Holiday is Fri 17th.
After that, it's on to 2005! But I could do 7 Jan.

Friday nights, at this stage, would be out for me unless we kicked off at like 8.30pm....by the time I got home got dressy'd up and got to Melbourne...
So, I guess I will have to stick to the meets that are during the days on the weekends....but that is cool too....should be lots of fun and I cant wait to come to our first one

Fri 17th would be good for me. I have some old work colleagues, who are travelling around Oz staying (so one of them can stay in and babysit in return for me putting them up for 6 days!) In fact I could do just about any night. Just name the time and place, being new to Melbourne, I don't know anywhere. Mentone and surrounding suburbs do not have any pubs or winebars that I can see, but its on the train line so I don't mind travelling. I am still up for picnic at end of Jan but a (child free) girls night out would go down a treat before then. I saw an ad somewhere for some pills you take that prevent a hangover next morning (not suggesting we will need them or anything) but can't remember what they are called - must try and find out!

Melibeam - let's see what suppport we get for a night out on Fri 17th then. I'll email one or two that don't read the board that often.
Hels - you could join us at any time during the evening, no problem. Hope you can make it down here sometime anyway!
Bordy (yes I *know* you're not a girly ) - please could you ask Mary if shes's interested in a drink-up on Fri 17 Dec??
Cheers all
