Default Melbourne:weather,beaches, lifestyle

Hi guys and girls jimmi here !
Theres a chance of a job offer coming up in Melbourne !!Im very excited and im expecting a video conference interview in the next few days-woohoo!As you might know,Im currently in London and want to head to a place in Oz which has great weather, close to the beaches for surfing, fishing etc and generally warm weather for an actice lifestyle. From my research it seems Melbourne can get pretty chilly in winter and im sick to death of cold weather. Please could you let me know some more detail around these issues.
thanks all :whome

There is no serious surfing in Port Phillip Bay, so from Melbourne CBD it is really a 100km drive to get to the nearest real surfing, whether you head down to Queenscliff or to Portsea.

Great for kitesurfing or paragliding though !

Sounds like Perth or Brissie is better for you. We are all a miserable bunch here in Melbourne anyway.
