Well I agree Hevs- it's not exactly a violent crime spot. But as far as trends go, Narre is heading down I think compared to the better parts of the SE. It often comes up in the papers in the way that neighbouring Berwick does not.
(And you're not Narre - you're Berwick!) To the board - I'm not a fan of suburbia but that is a personal taste and does not reflect safety, crime levels or how good a suburb is. |

BB I have the itch to move rural again now, but the problem is that i want USEABLE acerage and my finances wont get me enough of them. I can afford 6 acres of rural cliff side, but really don't see the point...would rather have 2 useable acres....its a quandry alright. |

Couple of nice horsey properties around here for sale, one across the road has everything and one down off Hasting Dande been on the market for a while and that one has dropped to nine hundred thousand. Not sure what they want over the road.
We live on over an acre and we can walk to everything, the train, pub, shopping centres, doctors, schools, tennis club and it was great when the children were growing up. Still great for us as we age. Tyabb and Somerville have a lot of acreage properties around them and if you live on the ridge wonderful views. |

It's also possible that you'd wait a long time before the perfect block comes up! Friends bought 30 acres, 2 houses (one a 4 bed, [2 with fireplace] - 3 living area, 6 toilet with bags of character - high ceilings, 2 massive sheds, one with mezzanine) and another granny house rental on block for 750k!! An interesting 30 acres - the house is on a hill overlooking the road, about 5 acres is a wood which seperates the property into two. The bit around the house is flat pasture land with another section tacked on past the wood. You can camp in the wood by a creek where they have endless pumping rights. It's not as oppressive as Dandenongs, being on its eastern edge overlooking the Yarra Valley... I don't mind slopes et cetera as long as some of it is usable and often a slope comes with a view. What I wouldn't want is 10 acres of football field. |

Yeah I'm the same, i like SOME slope and SOME bush but not too much of each. Macclesfield is just a bit too far out, Avonsleigh is pushing it... its also very treey in parts too.... *sigh*
Thing is I'm looking at semi retirement but having Flynn so old (:D) has buggered up my plans a bit. That and the fact Leah has decided on a 6 year degree :sneaky: Then again I am only 41, I have to keep reminding myself of that :lol: 141 feels more like it:lol: |

Anyone has insight into where the rail lines will be extended to? e.g. From Pakenham will it move to Nar Nar Goon side or somewhere towards the south. Similarly, from Belgrave to where?
In my opinion, rail lines will determine the property hot spots because one can't travel to the city on car. |

Theres been a station propsed for Lakeside for an eternity, but still cant see it yet. Öfficer South" is the new buzz, its basically the flat part of Officer between the Princes and the Monash. Martins correct there is already a V line out to Nar Nar Goon, haven't heard about it extending, but its flat enough, and sparse enough to I suppose

we live in rowville 20 mins drive from mount waverley, we have been here now for 10 years and love the place, we like the change of the 4 seasons its hot in summer but as i say in melb you get the change. I suppose all other states in austarlia have there attractions as you say Perth seems to attract a lot of Brits, as does the gold coast, melbourne is ideal for us. you will love the parks in melbourne & the food variety is fantastic. regards arthur from melbourne ex blackburn lancashire |
