Depends if the 2 weeks is in the next 2 weeks

Try Moving to Melbourne or realestate.com

Most short term places in Melbourne would be commutable otherwise they are probably marketing themselves as Rural victoria or mornington.

Did you have details about number of rooms, budget, particular areas you might consider for long term move? ie if your doing a reccie might be worth being located as close as possible to both cbd and places you would be buying in?

Ning Nang Nong is an unknown quantity at this point

I have a house in Frankston available for short term rental.
It is old but clean and comfortable. It is a 20 min walk to the train station
or buses pass by.
The position is very good being adjacent a shopping strip with various
takeaway food shops and the RSL club is a 5 min walk.
Interested?

This was just a general enquiry-we're thinking of renting our place in Hobart out, and moving to Melbourne for 5-6 years for some big city action!

we're only at the mulling it over stage so no definite plans yet, maybe going in 6 months or so-we have to give 3 months' notice in our current jobs and also find work there, so no idea yet about location, budget approx $500/week, 2 bedrooms. I have noticed that areas like Glen Waverley, Burwood and Hawthorn seem to be the kind of areas we'd think about-we want somewhere quietish and preferably bogan-free.

Hi Ian and Helena

We have a very basic one bedroom apartment that you could have at a reasonable price. We live in a suburb called The Basin which is at the foot of the Dangenong Ranges.

It takes about an hour on the train to the city and there are a number of train stations around although they are not within walking distance.

If you are interested just drop me a line.

Regards
Sara

PS are you from Oldham by any chance? We're from Grains Bar!

Hi Sara-thanks for your offer-we won't be relocating till next May/June at the earlist though.
I'm originally from Stalybridge but have been a Latics fan since 1969 or so.
