Hand washing the few items of clothing we bought in our suitcases and painting my house. The joys of being without furniture or white goods until our container arrives! What a fun day.

My seven year old didn't go to school before we left Australia so she used to come to lunch or to place a bet with my husband and I every year, so when she realised yesterday it was Cup day today, she wanted to take a day off school to go to the TAB. She was still hounding me on the way to school.

I hope Bart survives the day today and has one last winner before joining the big Horse Stud in the sky.

Normal day at work (and school for kids)...
slight pause to see who won the office sweepstake...
..and then this evening a meal out to celebrate our wedding anniversary

I've just moved into a new house so it's cleaning, fixing, cleaning, fixing for me. Though as all the pubs and clubs will be packed to the rafters, I'm probably not missing too much :)

At home today ... the family fortune is on "Descarado".

$14 chance ... let's see if we can repeat the success of Delta Blues from 2007, the winnings from that live on in my cricket bat ...

Post #19 here, I decided to have a flutter in the end ... http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...a+blues&page=2

Working. But they have put on champagne and a buffet. Just finishing my champers at my desk.

Some of the girls have dressed for work as if they are going to Royal Ascot.

Weird.
