Geelong and Ballarat can be excluded as they aren't a part of Melbourne. Nearly 99% of Victoria's IT jobs are situated within 3x3 sq km area from St Kilda - CBD - Richmond which can travelled from any point to any point within 10 mins on public transport.
Mad commute, but they see it as normal. Mind you there's another breed of Melbournite, generally young, free single and gainfully employed who'd be appalled at working any further then a ten minute stroll and possibly a three stop tram ride from their fashionably appointed Richmond apartment. |
