I'm not only referring to dev shops but also to corp headquarters of firms, Big 4's IT business units and customer support centers. You will know better as your into this business :D what places far away from CBD are they at :blink:

Mad commute, but they see it as normal.

Mind you there's another breed of Melbournite, generally young, free single and gainfully employed who'd be appalled at working any further then a ten minute stroll and possibly a three stop tram ride from their fashionably appointed Richmond apartment.

Thats good actually, enjoy the quiet and green lifesytle of bush and still work in CBD. Victorian govt is urging people to move to regional areas and start businesses and houses there, so that pressure on Melbourne can be released. But at least the IT can't move to regional areas until the NBN comes.

Other idea would be bullet trains from Shepparton and Bendigo leading to CBD within 1 hour :D
