Hi, we've just moved to Perth and managed to find ourselves jobs and a house to rent, which is great - just wondering if any groups meet up on a regular basis. It would be fantastic to make some new friends out here and share experiences and pick up some tips!
Be good to hear from you all.

Welcome Nic & Ralph,
There are a few meet ups during the day, mainly attended by the women (although my OH has been along to a few with me). There is one that meets up on a Wednesday lunch time in Joondalup and one that meets up on a Thursday lunch time at the beach shack in Hillaries. I've not been to the Joondalup one but am told they are a nice bunch and everyone welcome.
Not sure about any evening things really. We've only been here around 3 months ourselves so are still trying to find ways to make friends. Perhaps we should organise something and see who turns up.
We tried the Kings Park thing a first time we couldn't find anyone for ages and eventually found a small group, second time we organised to be there and no-one else turned up (billy-no-mates) so we're reluctant to do that again really which is a shame.

Hi Margy,
I just read about the girlies coffee club in Joondalup, so if I'm not working I'll give that a try. Is is every wednesday? I've just posted a new thread about anyone interested in meeting up in the Swan Valley near where we live. Where do you live - is that close for you?

Where are you? Perth's a big area. If it's just the wife then there are a few groups of women who meet regularly. If it's the whole family then there are sometimes meets in Kings Park. I used to organise them about every 8 weeks, but have not done so for a while since turnout went from the hundreds down to almost nobody.

Hi,
I'm in North Beach, the meet at the Coffee Club in Joondalup is every Wednesday 11a.m. - 2 p.m. - I went for the first time yesterday and they are a welcoming bunch. The meet at the Beach Shack in Hillaries is every Thursday 12.30/1.00p.m. - 2ish, I've been to this quite a few times now and they are all very nice. New comers to both welcome.
I don't know of any meets in Swan Valley but have a look around, there are bound to be a few.
