As promised here are some proposed dates for a meet. I think its probably best to go with the majority.

I will look at a venue when I get more of an idea of the date and numbers, though it will probably be around Durham or somewhere equally central for all (theres some of us from Middlesbrough and some from Newcastle!!)

I think a day one with kids would be nice, but I also think we should look at organising an evening one for adults too as we havent had one of those yet!!

The dates are:

Saturday May 20th
Sunday June 4th
Saturday June 10th

Well.............Is there any point in having it on the 10th??? ( typical woman, has no knowledge of such important dates )

I'm going to leave it a day or two to see if anybody else indicates a preference for dates then see which is the most popular.

As for venue, I've been talking to somebody today who lives up that way and they reckon that there isnt that many great places in Durham to go (with kids). They did however suggest a few places, one of which was the Sandcastle. I have no idea where that is but I do remember somebody suggesting there way back when I organised the first meet. Maybe those from further North could shed some light (and directions!!!!!).

Personally, I think there sounds ok, providing I can find it!!!. Those of you who attended the first meet (Tiawamutu, Bar2323, Annqld, Merlot etc) may remember that I was late because I got lost despite me arranging it

Anyway, all suggestions more than welcome. May not be about the next 2 days but will certainly be looking at getting something in place by the middle of next week!!

When you finalise a date, i'll know whether we can make it.

I don't think it would be wise to have it on a day that England are playing, as i'll be in no fit state to talk. (not that i'm a p*ss head)

ok, we're not getting any particular date that is jumping out as the most popular so all I can think of is doing a poll!!

Does anybody know how to do one? Then we will go with whichever is voted the most. There doesnt seem to be a huge amount of interest really , but enough for a get together

Try and pick a date that England, Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesborough not playing and a central venue for the most interested, and near train stations etc. Pick 2 dates and see which people prefer one a Saturday and one a Sunday. You are never going to please everyone... .
