Hello, we had ours at Tudor House Medical Centre opp City Hospital at the end of August on a Thurs like yourselves (they close the surgery down Thurs pm's for Visa Medicals). We found them v friendly and professional (Pat, the lady on reception was excellent as was the doctor who saw us) and if you're having Chest X-rays at the private hospital (sorry name escapes me) was also a relatively efficient process.

It's worthwhile confirming that the names on the forms from the doctor are accurate (ours weren't but as my partner is in Healthcare she was sent her results direct; you won't be sent a copy if you're not in the HC sector).

Re the bloods tell your daughter not to worry; they've got a good bedside manner and (as Sue's a nurse!) she said they were done very well.

Finally, good luck with your application and your new life. We go to Melbourne (in Lincoln at the mo') in around 4 weeks - got a few nerves but others on this site have told me that's normal.

Good Luck!!

Matt

Hi Phil, Gravyman's on the button - they take cash payment (altho it's worth checking) and it's a standard medical consisting of : height, weight, blood pressure, reflexes, eye test, etc. Bloods depend on your occupation but may extend to Hep B & C and HIV. The chest X-ray is looking for signs of TB only. Basically as long as you're in a reasonable state of health and don't have HIV or TB you should be OK. Good luck for tomorrow.
