Medicals costs?
Hi all
Just about to get our medicals done. I'm interested to know how much you have paid.. Costs vary i think?

35 GBP per child
28 GBP per x-ray
18 GBP per blood test
Doctor was in Manchester.

I assume you are getting your medical done by Dr Mayer in Wanstead. Your X ray will be done first at WhippsX (very quick surprisingly) and then Dr Mayer will you see you for his exam.Once this is done he will send you to The Nuffield Hospital in Gants Hill for your blood test. Once this is all done (about ten days in my case) you go back to The Nuffield to collect your results and then to see Dr Mayer and he gives you your forms. Apologies if you know all this already. Adult Medical (15 yrs and above) £80.00
Children (11 to 14 yrs) £60.00
Children under 11 £30.00
Chest x-ray (11 yrs and above) £35.00
HIV Test (15 yrs and above) £15.00
VDRL " " £15.00
Hepatitis B " " £15.00

So for a family of 3 with a 3 yr old it cost us £305.00 would have been £15.00 if it was'nt for the tattoo I had done last year, so had to have a Hep B test done.
PS these were done at Handsworth Wood Birmingham. So prices do vary from region to region!

These are the fee's we paid for our medicals. We had them done at Dorset
County Hospital in Dorchester.
Medical £50.00 per adult
£25.00 per child
Blood Test £23.00
X-Ray £50.00 per adult
Our daughter need not need the X-ray or blood test.
