Medicals ????

We have just sent off our visa application (JAN) how long does it take before we are asked to go for medicals?

Ours took just over 10 months(applied April 2003)

Assuming you're applying for an Aussie visa (and not a NZ one), it also depends on your visa subclass.

Independent or Sponsored? Designated Area Sponsored?

If Designated Area Sponsored, it should be pretty quick, otherwise the wait can be about 50+ weeks (to completion).

If you're a nurse, then it should also be quite quick as well.

So it depends on your circumstances, really. It isn't a one-size-fits-all system there.
