We applied July 2002 (Adelaide received it on the 27th July).
When did you apply and have you had any results with your application?
Debs
We applied July (Adelaide received 30th) and I got my police/medical forms through Friday 4th April. For the curious my calculator says 286 days or almost 41 weeks. Be patient it comes eventually. X-rays today, and the medical by Friday, I'm not resting 'till the balls back in their court. As for the time to stamp your visa, my agents says;

You get one year from the date of the medical/police check (which ever is the earliest) to get the visa stamped. Then (skilled migration) you have a 5 year multiple-entry visa. At the end of those 5 years, to renew the visa you need to have spent 2 years there (but if you have you can get citizenship and dual nationality). Good luck to all

Hi Bored_bean
Thanks for the info.
Lucky you to get your medicals and xrays so quick.We are having a lot of trouble getting appointments for medicals, xrays no problem but the earliest date we can get medicals is 28th April.
Where is it you are going?
good luck

Just had the Xray. I can't pick up the films 'till Friday so the medical is Monday. GPs here charge for their
services so you can usually get an appointment the same or next day, and if you're booking a week in advance you can pick the time to suit.

We hope to head towards Brisbane, far enough in the country to buy a fair bit of land, but close enough to commute if needs be.
