Default Mechanical engineer looking for a job

Hi everybody,

I'll be arriving in Perth on 03-05-07 and after a couple of weeks a need a job. We first want to travel around a bit and explore the suburbs. I am a mechanical engineer (professional), and I was wondering whether anybody as able to assist me finding a job/ has a job available for me.

I am looking for a service planner/ coordinator, maintenance planner kind of role, but also working as a service technician (working with my hands, OUTSIDE were the weather is nice, sounds great.

Hope to hear from you guys!!

Thanx Frank

A good place to look is Engineers Australia, I guess you've used them for your migration assesment?
I think most work will be in the mines/oilfields so you may be commuting to Kalgoorlie or Karratha if you want big bucks.
The ADF may have some work going, this is mostly arranged through Manpower, GDLSA or you may try and speak to JLU(W) - they'll be in the phonebook.

Try these agencies in Perth. These are the only ones I will deal with. The rest are useless:

TAD Perth
Technical Resources
Swan Personnel

Google them for details.
