Hi,
I have read a few threads from people who have had bad experiences in Manly...particularly to do with drunks, vomit and bottling near and around the Corso.
I was wondering if this is true picture of an evening in Manly or just that these people have been extremely unlucky. Is such behaviour common on the weekends only, or commonplace throughout the week?
Thanks for your input.

I would say Manly is a dangerous place for seagulls because of the Sea Eagles.
Sorry no first hand experience to comment on your question.

From a dim and distance youthful memory, weekends were the usual as with any place similar in Australia, I can't remember it being as bad as say Hartlepool or Nottingham Town Centre's on a Sat night, but things change in 7/8 years.
Lots of back packers, especially in the summer months.
I remember going into Manly with the MIL for coffee & cake on Sat nights.

Absolutely nothing to worry about - less problem than your local village pub in the UK.
If you miss the trouble, book tickets in the Doug Walters stand for a day nighter cricket match - and watch the off field entertainment. I was there yesterday and at least 40 people were thrown out (or carried out) - and they only served light beer!!

Nice restuarants and much better on the eye than a wet weekend in Hartlepool.
