A DARWIN grandfather received a warning from police yesterday about a mock registration plate saying "BUGGER".

Tom Lenham, 67, said he did not know his $2 plate was illegal.

He was pulled over during an early morning rego check on Dick Ward Drive, Fannie Bay, yesterday.

A peak-hour traffic jam built up as police
