Default Major problems for all shipping to Perth/NZ.Could Mr Mover please confirm/deny

Can it get any worse.I'm starting to think that all those junk chain e-mails that I post back to the irritating senders may be working.
Our shipment was due to arrive this Friday,so I rung Grace International to get it sorted.
No,they says,it's due in Melbourne a week later. It seems that all containers for Perth AND New Zealand got to a central holding point in Melbourne before being sent to there final destination.
Our shippers,Doree Bonner, claimed to have heard nothing about this,so can't really blame them, although it shows a real lack of communication.
I bet I'll now hear from some of you who are being shipped direct, and we're just having more bad luck and have been shoved on the first available container.
We know loads of you have had the 20 month visa wait fiasco, problems selling your house and shipping strife, but are we the only ones who've had all 3 ?
This week is D-Day for our house sale,if it doesn't go through this time,we'll have to return till it does-no shipment,no car,no Summer, but at least I'll have a job to go to-whoopee.

BB-always look on the shite side of life.

I have been looking into this for BB, but just apoint of intrest to all you other potential Ozzies, what the UK[moving] agent tells you is only, what the shipping agent, wants him to hear, these people are a law unto them selves , they alter things to suit themselves and their profit margins ,their time tables are very flexible, and alter at a whim,so approximate, is a big word in their vocabulary.......and as freight ,movement ,out strips the freight movers , they just say to us [the moving company ] "go use some one else"......if you can find one........ I don't think that the word 'straightforward' or 'simple' still exists BB.
Everything you try and do, or have, or buy, or sell etc etc is so complicated nowadays.
People don't care about people anymore, just their profit margins.

I hope things become a bit less complicated and awkward for you, and things start going your way.

There aren't many of us at the moment that haven't had a problem with one thing or another lately. Especially with the house selling.

One thing you have to get used to is never trust a moving company, always expect the worst and when something good happens look on it as being a fantastic gift from good. No offence meant to you or your colleagues Mr Mover. Our last move from the UK to US took 20 weeks instead of the 6 to 8 weeks quoted, but of course they have no responsibility etc. as stated in the fine print everything was approximate. As someone else stated it is all about their profit rather than for the benefit of the customer. That said, that is why all businesses are in operation so can't really criticise that.
