Default Magic Envelope came . . but . . .

OK, we got the yellow envelope. Fantastic and everything but . . .

The date of first entry has to be before July 2nd 2004, we actually wanted to move August 1st. It's going to cost me a flight to Oz for the sake of a month. We'd go earlier but we have contractual arrangements relating to careers and the like.

What are the chances of them changing this date? Has anyone ever tried to do this? I am guessing that there is no way it can change but I have to ask.

Thanks.

Hiya

Have a look search through the older posts on the forum. I'm sure I've seen posts like this before. You might have to jump through a few administrative hoops but if it's only a case of delaying entry by a few months I don't think it's unheard of.

Good luck,

Steve

Sorry to sound negative, but didn't you realise that they take the earliest of your Med or Police check dates? You could have avoided this by delaying them by 4 weeks and getting an extension on the submission dates!

I would post this on the immigration site PTlabs will know the answer.

Best of luck with changing it

The case officers do have some discretion. My medicals were going to expire but the man at DIMIA gave me an extra couple of months.

Basically do not get your sticker until you are able to contact your case officer. The enter by date is on the sticker.

quite sure the date revolves around your medicals/police checks as they are only valid for a year, so (guessing now) your case officer might be able to extend it if you get medicals/police checks re-done.

You are right but as I pointed out above there is some room for discretion.
