Lost passport!!!
#1
Just had a look for my passport and cannot find anywhere, the fairies have obvioulsy had it as the wife denies all knowledge of ever seeing it. I had to photocopy it recently to give to the solicitors when we put the house on the market so should be able to get a copy of that.
The ting is, I'm panicking ever so slightly as the visa was in the passport and we have visited earlier in the year to get the visa validated.
How easy is it to get visa put in if I have to get a new passport and will I have to prove I visited to get the visa validated (think the copy solicitors have may have an entry or exit stamp, but not both).
It never rains, it pi$$es down!!!

The wife thinks I may have left it in with the stuff I gave to the solicitor. Soon as they open I'm on the phone!

You will need to send them the new passport, plus a letter to the effect that your old one has been lost and cancelled. They will need to tie the visa number to your new passport number, and ensure that the old one is cancelled, and then they can put a sticker in it.

You really should find it - its not easy to get a replacement - they take ages, they take a dim view of lost passports.

I can't believe it, I always keep our passports together in a draw and I took mine out to photocopy it for the solicitors and now can't find it.
The solicitors are closed today so will have to have a weekend of worry until I can speak to them on Monday.
