Looking for low cost accomodation in Sunshine Coast :)
Hi all,
Were thinking of going to Queensland from Perth in Feb for 10 days, does anyone know a cheap place to use as a base? we have a 9 year old and will be out all day, not sure if backpackers accommodate kids? we may stay in sunshine coast for 5 days gold coast for 3? any ideas - just dont want to be spending out on expensive hotels when we will be out most of the time,
cheers peeps

Hi There
We recently stayed at maroochy sands (maroochydore). Basic but clean and tidy accomadation. Nice living area and two bedrooms. We stayed over New Year and was only 150 per night think it drops to about 70/80 at other times.

Have a look at Headstart Homestay, they may have something suitable for you.

I'd recommend surfair at marcoola for budget accommodation. You can get a 2bed apartment for $215 per night. If you ask nicely (perhaps book directly with them instead of through wotif) they may give you a nice ocean view apartment.
i don't know what your budget is, and $215 might seem a little expensive, but for what you get for the money I don't think you'll find much better value anywhere else.
