Long Term UK Storage Recommendations?

I've found plenty of recommendations for removal companies on this site, but does anyone have any companies they've used in the UK for long term (couple of years) storage of belongings? We're off to Sydney early next year, giving it a two-year try, and letting out our UK house. As we don't want to take absolutely everything with us when we go, we'd like to put a fair amount of stuff (furniture, books, etc) into storage for a couple of years. Has anyone any experience of this? Or recommendations of how cost effective it is? We don't want to pay to ship everything we own around the world and then pay to ship it back in the same boxes, still packed, two years later if we decide we're moving back to the UK!

I found the mother in law's garage and spare room the cheapest and most secure option.

I found that when I was negotiating shipping and storage with the removal companies that they became very very competitive with the storage charges, in fact without a lot of effort I got one of them down to £24 a week. Now for 2 years what could you get them down to??
