Question Long Term Business Visa Questions??

Assistance Please..

It looks like I could be offered a 2 year secondment in Aus with my current employer.

My Girlfriend and I are not married but have been together for 7+ years (honest....can prove it).

Can I put her on my 1068 form and also get her sponsored??? Would she also be able to work during this period in Aus?

Work have also given me 'sponsorship for a partner to migrate to Aus' forms. As far as I can see this is for Aus/NZ residents to sponsor partners? I don't think that this is relevant?

I was only informed last week that this could be a possibility and I could do with being out there ASAP - In a bit of a flat spin at the minute.

Any help would be appreciated

Dave,

- Has your employer got approval from the Department of Immigration to act as a business sponsor?
- If you and your partner have been living together for at least 12 months you should be able to include her on your visa application (form 1068). However, has your employer agreed to her being included, as their sponsorship obligations extend to all persons included on the 1068.
- Your partner would then receive a 457-employer sponsored visa, like you, and would be able to work in Australia.

Please feel able to call my office or to send me an email if you want further advice.

Best regards.

Thanks for your help Alan. This saved alot of unneccessary paperwork.

My employers are already approved sponsors and we are discussing my partners inclusion on the 1068.

Thanks agan and I'm sure that I will be in touch.

P.S. - Great info on the Forum, the High commission were worse than useless!!
