My mate lives in Figtree which is between Wollengong and Shell Harbour. There are a lot of expats in the area and we have enjoyed our visits to the area we have been twice. You are near to the Beaches, a train journey from Sydney and a reasonable drive to the Blue Mountains. It is warmer there than where we live in Victoria.
We have been for drinks in the Figtree RSL club and everyone there is friendly
