Can anyone out there give a brief overview of life in Melbourne or Victoria ,and what are my chances of gaining employment
,i am a qualified Motor Mechanic with 13years experience and also trained as a Vehicle Inspector.

Although the world is in a global crisis Australia has faired pretty well, you will not find it hard to gain employment. Victoria is the place to be, close to melbourne would be better for you

my car seems to be serviced a lot more frequently over here, every 10,000 kilometres, so this should be good news for you, but cars do not need MOT's over here, only need similar (roadworthy checks) when sold. Strong older car market here as they seem to last longer (little rust) so think there should be a fair bit of work around.
