Default Life is Good

Just thought I'd share my bank holiday weekend with you all. Perth has been in Spring mode and we sprang into action accordingly!

Saturday - Perth Royal Show. What a fab event - good value for money, only $18/adult. So much to see and do - my son conquered his fears of rides and couldn't be stopped! The animals were fab - my absolute favorite was the pig and her piglets, so young and gorgeous. Oooh, and the baby camel (didn't succumb to a camel ride though) Show jumping, the Holden Storm riders (fast utes in action), pig racing, and pig diving (!), dog agility, a huge model train layout (again, couldn't drag my son away!) show bags. So much to see and do - but too much to see in one day. In a few years time we'll be able to go in the evening and get to see the fireworks (but we are listening to the booming every night).

Sunday - a fab bush walk down part of the Bibbulum Track, near Kalamunda in the Hills. Lovely weather again, picnic by a waterfall. The scenery was fantastic. No snakes seen today!! Happy tired people by the end. The wild flowers were lovely.

Monday - time for a breather. Bacon (cooked on the barbie!) and egg butties, a day at home, cleaning the pool, laying paving, washing the dog and kicking back our heels in the sunshine, drinking coffee and chatting with friends.

Life is good!

:scared: WHAT?? you mean you didn't stay home to watch the AFL finals on Saturday??? LMAO....at least you must have had room to breathe at the show though!!

I'm taking my little one later in the week. Shame he won't be able to stay awake for the fireworks...it's the only bit I really want to see!

Sounds like you had a good weekend anyway...life is pretty damn good here isn't it??!! hehehe I did yoga saturday and sunday then today had a big long walk along South Beach at freo, followed by coffee and toast at the aubergine cafe...mmm bliss!!

Yup, missed the footie - saw the opening bits on the big screen, and then intermittently between stuff, but then only found out the final score coming home in the car - we were listening to ABC 720 "vent your spleen" which was hilarious, but it took a while to work out who had won, and then everyone was saying "Well done, South Melbourne".

Its not bad here, is it!
