Life is Good

Just thought I'd share my bank holiday weekend with you all. Perth has been in Spring mode and we sprang into action accordingly!
Saturday - Perth Royal Show. What a fab event - good value for money, only $18/adult. So much to see and do - my son conquered his fears of rides and couldn't be stopped! The animals were fab - my absolute favorite was the pig and her piglets, so young and gorgeous. Oooh, and the baby camel (didn't succumb to a camel ride though) Show jumping, the Holden Storm riders (fast utes in action), pig racing, and pig diving (!), dog agility, a huge model train layout (again, couldn't drag my son away!) show bags. So much to see and do - but too much to see in one day. In a few years time we'll be able to go in the evening and get to see the fireworks (but we are listening to the booming every night).
Sunday - a fab bush walk down part of the Bibbulum Track, near Kalamunda in the Hills. Lovely weather again, picnic by a waterfall. The scenery was fantastic. No snakes seen today!! Happy tired people by the end. The wild flowers were lovely.
Monday - time for a breather. Bacon (cooked on the barbie!) and egg butties, a day at home, cleaning the pool, laying paving, washing the dog and kicking back our heels in the sunshine, drinking coffee and chatting with friends.
