leechs
yuck,
just found a big leech sloping across the floor in our house!
I hate leechs, paranoid the house is full of them now :scared:
Anyone now how to keep them out, if you spray some insect spray around will that do the job?
Do you put salt on them if they get on you?
now i really feel as though i am in Australia!

Rain (like we've had recently) always brings out slugs and snails. Pour salt on them to finish them off.

You might want to keep it as a pet.. "One of their roles in life is that they were used to get venom from snake-bites out of humans. "

Re: leechs
thanks abc, if I'm ever bitten by a snake i will be sure to find a damp area to throw myself into!!
It was definitely a leech. It resembled the leechs that attacked me in sumatra a few years back. OK they didn't have guns or knives but I still think the word attacked is appropriate.
I think I brought it in from the expat meet at clontarf on sunday. Actually soapy looked like a snake bite victim, perhaps he was carrying some around with him?
