Default Leaving for Perth Aug15.

We are leaving for Perth on the 15th of Aug, flying from Birmingham Airport, with Emirates, at 14:15. Is anybody else flying out at that time?

We are looking at North of the river. We quite fancy Duncraig, but being as we have never been to Australia before, we could end up anywhere.

Same day, different flight.

We are booked on a flight to Perth from Heathrow on the 15th August. And I don't have a visa yet. Live dangerously, I say...

Congratulations Sarah. I moved out here last October with my Australian fiance and although there have been moments were I miss my friends and family, on the whole, it has been great. We live in Como, it is great for access to the city, the river and is only 25 mins from the beach. I would have a good look around the place because there are so many great suburbs, both north and south.

Good luck with it all!

As I said, never been before but have heard so many positive things about Australia, we thought we would just go lock, stock and two smoking barrels.
We are so excited and nervous about the whole thing.
We don't have much family left so hopefully things will be ok.
Where is Como? North or South.

Thought we was living on the edge when we sold our house and moved into rented before we had even got our TRA.
Hope everything works out for you noonard.

Hi Sarah, I did that flight recently when we went for reccie - the first flight is nice the second one is a bit of a bugger. Make sure you book in online (if you don't want exit seats) 12 hours before - then you can choose your seats. If it's just the two of you I'd reccomend the two seats at the back of the plane, no-one sitting next to you.

Are you going over on a skilled visa?

P.s. I'm from Sutton originally (Four Oaks) but live in Great Barr now (not for long though )

Hi Everyone,
Just thought that I would let you know. I arrived here in Perth in Jan with three children in tow, never having been to Australia before. We had no family or friends here either. We sold our house in Ireland and just went for it. I have to say honestly it was the best decision of our lives. Our near 18 yr old has thanked us for the move. We love it here and I don't think that we will ever return to Ireland . At this moment in time life is just too good.
If I can help anybody ,Please just get in touch . I know what a very scary thing this is to do, and that there is always the doubt of ,is this the right thing to do. Just remember that you only get one chance on life and that it is too short.

How long do you all have. So much has happened. But at the moment I have a giant HOLE in my back garden as my pool will be installed tomorrow. Now that is something you just can't have back home. Well not unless you won the Lotto.
Week 1 arrived and got hire car.
Week2 Bought new car and started children in school.
Week 3 Learnt to snorkel
Week 4 Got a job
Week 6 Bought a house
Week 8 Moved to second rental
Week 10 Moved into New House
Week 12 Husband landed a sweet Job
Week 14 Bought second car
And since then have just been living the life of reilly. say to day is the same just easier. But I can get a lot more for my money, nad things that I could only ever dream of having back in gloomy ,damp Ireland.

Any further detail Pm me.
