Leaving party!

well the day is fast approaching, our leaving party is tomorrow night and i'm getting really nervous! is it understandable? i have massive butterflies in my tummy!!! daft really as i've known most of the 200 people coming for years, i'm so worried about mum breaking down in tears, she's being so supportive and brave but i can see that inside she is so sad. Have a mega busy day tomorrow starting with preparing the food, decorating the hall and given Boomie and Boomer directions on a mobile phone when they have no signal somewhere in the midst of the NEW FOREST!
will let you know how it all goes just as soon as i've recovered!

Get all the prep done early and then just get hammered-enjoy every minute -take lots of photos and then you'll have them to look back on when your over the other side.

Rach, You have an awesome night....We had our do last weekend and yup, the butterflies go with the territory I am afraid....It wasnt me with them, but the Hubby reckons he had fruit bats flapping round in there... ;)

Will be looking forward to seeing loads of pictures....

You enjoy every single min of your party!!! I'm sure your mum will burst into tears as you think but I'm sure they will be mixed tears of joy and sadness. 2 hundred peeps going someone is gonna be busy. Enjoy you deserve it.

Oh don't Sandra, i feel bad enough as it is! anyway, we don't leave for over three weeks so half the people we'll be seeing again before we go!

Ahhhh Rach,

Don't worry about those butterflies, have a quick shot or two before and then just relax and enjoy your friends and families company. Have a fab party and do take loads of piccies!!! After the pic's you can get plastered!

Rach, we've got about 200 coming to our leaving do too!! :eek:

A good tip I read on here once was to stand up and take to the microphone fairly early in the evening and tell everyone what your plans are for Australia. That way you don't spend your whole evening repeating yourself to people that don't already know and not being able to spend enough time with the rest of your guests! :)

Another good tip is to leave out a couple of blank books for people to leave messages in, it will be nice to read these later on. :)
